SCIENCELAB Activities
Using funding from the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Bert Ely has coordinated an outreach project of the USC Departments of Biology and Chemistry to provide opportunities for your students to spend a day working in a true research lab. Dr. Ely first recruited USC science and education faculty and local area science teachers to construct five science modules that can be integrated into your classroom setting. Each module has since been field tested, addresses the SC Standards, is inquiry-based, and involves a Friday field trip to a USC Biology or Chemistry research lab.
