Genetic Roots:
Using DNA to Trace Your Genetic Roots
During the Genetic Roots laboratory, students will have an opportunity to isolate their own DNA and see how portions of it can be amplified and tested to identify naturally occurring genetic variation. They will also isolate large quantities of DNA from an onion so they can literally see it and feel it!
